...to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:29-31) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) builds a Great Community.
This is our purpose statement. It’s not our goal; it’s the direction we are heading. We will always be somewhere along the road when it comes to our commitment to “Go and make disciples…” We’ll always be struggling to fulfill the command on our lives to “love the Lord our God” completely. I won’t sell you the idea that our youth community has it all together. We’re not the biggest in town. We’re not the flashiest, but we are on the road to becoming a great community. We are student focused; parent friendly; visitor minded; Biblically sound; and Christ-centered.
We are committed to offering your student opportunities to encounter Christ and the Gospel if they do not know Him and to go deeper with Him through the Holy Spirit if they have entered into friendship with Him.
How We Minister to Your Students
We believe in a balanced approach to ministry. Our youth community provides opportunities for visitors and students who do not know the Lord to encounter Truth and our community on a weekly basis. These are called out Outreach times. They are low-key, front doors to our ministry. We have time for students to connect with each other; games to break the ice; and a focused spiritual truth each week. They are divided by age: High School (9-12) and Middle School (7+8).
Our Discipleship times are opportunities for your student to grow deeper in their faith. We teach a set list of topics making sure that our discipleship goals are covered on a four year basis. We have different teachers from our body here at Trinity come in and teach the kids during these times. They are excellent opportunities for your student to grow deeper in their faith.
Sunday mornings have become our primary fellowship time during the week. Both age groups are together in the youth room for a time of connection, breakfast, and prayer. Our students come together to share their week with each other; eat a snack and share some prayer requests. This allows our different age groups to connect on a weekly basis.
Message for Parents
You are the heroes; we’re just the sidekicks. We recognize that when God does a significant work in the life of your child, it will most likely happen in your home. As a result, we want to do everything we can to support you in the discipleship and training in your home. We provide great opportunities of connection for your child through the youth community and for you to offer input. We provide constant information on the ministry through at least five forms of communication each month. Parent’s meetings are offered every other month so that you can offer your feedback on how the ministry is going. Thanks again for all you do. Please let us know how we can support you as God works in your family.
