Behold Your God: Rethinking God Biblically August 21 - November 6 Led by Bill Allen & Jeremy Groom Location - G 7/8
What we believe about who God is will affect everything about us. Therefore, nothing should take a higher priority for us than knowing Him as He has revealed Himself in His word. Not merely know about Him, but to know Him is life. Are we sure that the God we serve is the God described in Scripture? Is rethinking Him biblically really necessary? How do we do it? How would it affect our views of Christ, the gospel, holiness, worship, evangelism, service and revival? This study will bring us into contact with God’s magnificent self-revelation in the Bible and help us apply these descriptions of Him to key areas of life.
How To Hear The Voice of God August 21 - October 23 Led by Pastor Matt Walton Location - Cafeteria
All throughout scripture God is constantly speaking to His people: Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, John the Baptist, Paul and Peter. Each heard the voice of the Lord clearly and consistently. Now we are blessed to have the Word of God in written form at our disposal. Clearly the Lord speaks through the Bible under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, but can we still hear the voice of God in addition to the Bible? Can we hear Him intimately, consistently and personally? We will look closely at what the Word of God says and strive to cultivate our ability to hear the Lord speak to us every single day.
Cleansing Stream August 21 - November 6 Led by Ray Harris Location - C1
The Cleansing Stream Seminar is a series of classes which prepare and disciple participants to receive healing and deliverance. God’s Word, His character, His will and His ways are amazing. How will we ever be able to fully understand them? It is a journey of discovery. These Seminar teachings can be a part of that journey. They’ll reveal how we can become more like our Father while removing obstacles on our way to that goal. The classes culminate in a one day Retreat. Participating in the Seminar and Event will be an avenue the Lord will use in this restoration process, establishing our roots as He nurtures, prunes and matures us in righteousness for His glory.

Jesus Among Secular Gods November 13 - December 18 Led by Kevin Smith & TBD Location - C1
As belief in the secular gods of atheism, hedonism, relativism and humanism continues to grow, it’s more important than ever for believers to be able to defend and share the claims of Christ. Of course, this clash of worldviews is nothing new. Throughout Paul’s writing in the New Testament are references to elemental forces that seek to separate believers from the love and truth of Jesus. Not only has Christian worldview been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are also openly ridiculed as irrelevant. In this class, you will learn how to confront the empty promises of cultural philosophies and develop confidence sharing the claims of Christ. This Bible study challenges the popular and trending philosophies of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for absolute truth as found in Jesus and revealed in Scripture.

The Art of Parenting by Dennis and Barbara Rainey - Led by Ross & Ashley Hill and Don & Joan Brown - Wednesday, March 27 - Wednesday, May 29, 2019 - G Bldg Rm 7/8
You want your children to be safe, happy and successful but how do you achieve those goals?
In this 8-session DVD series and workbook, Dennis and Barbara will help you to experience God’s truth and apply His word in your family by focusing your attention on four crucial elements in your children’s lives: 1. Identity — understanding who they are in Christ, 2. Character — learning to live wisely and honorably, 3. Relationships — fostering godly connections with others, 4. Mission — understanding why they are here. When you apply biblical truths in these four areas, you can feel confident your children will have a foundation they can build upon for the rest of their lives.
Dennis and Barbara Rainey have spent decades helping families find biblical help to strengthen and transform family relationships. Through radio broadcasts, conferences, and other events, they have been teaching on the foundations necessary for building godly families. Now they bring insights and expertise gleaned from those years of ministry, as well as from their own personal experience of raising six children, to The Art of Parenting. Expanding on parenting themes shared with FamilyLife audiences in person and on the radio, Dennis and Barbara offer trusted advice on how to establish Christian values in your home.
Rev. Reeves Cannon will be leading a half day seminar on the Five Love Languages from the best selling book by Gary Chapman. The Fear Of God - Led by Matt Walton - October 10 - December 19
Romans 5:11 says, "Since then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men." Paul and his ministry partners knew what it meant to fear the Lord. That fear propelled them to new heights in their relationship with Christ and their work for Him. My concern is that we have dismissed the fear of the Lord so that we can embrace a loving and graceful God that we need not fear. But I believe that this moves our picture of God out of balance. We'll study the Fear of the Lord and see how we can grow in a true understanding of what it means to fear Him.
Cultures in Conflict by Ray Vander Laan - Led by Bill Allen & Fred Salley - October 10 - November 7
Do you find it difficult to live the Christian life in our world today? The Apostle Paul was faced with the same dilemma living in a Greco Roman culture that valued money, status, idolatry and pleasure. In this study, you will learn how to live in a way that glorifies God in our secular Western world by walking in Paul's footsteps on his second missionary journey through Greece.
Gods At War by Kyle Idleman - Led by Fred Salley & Heather Walton - November 14 - December 19.
In this study, we will be challenged with the thought that perhaps all sin springs from the same source - IDOLATRY. Kyle argues that there are countless gods (4 of which are love, money, pleasure and power) passionately at war for the throne of our heart. Only by recognizing our misplaced worship and by enthroning Jesus can we experience true freedom and life. Book/participant's guide is optional.
From 4:00pm to 6:00pm you can enjoy the walking trail, nature center, playground or splash pad (there is a cost for this). We will gather in the community building at 6:00pm to eat and then have a time of praise and worship at 6:30pm followed by a dessert bar at 7:00pm. Don't miss this night of fun, fellowship and worship! Sign up by noon on Monday, July 9. Donations will be taken to cover the cost of the meal.
